Sylvian Excel Agent

Excel Agent provides spreadsheet manipulation through natural language instructions, built on openpyxl and the Model Context Protocol. The implementation features a comprehensive MCP server exposing Excel operations as tools, including cell manipulation, formula management, formatting, data validation, and workbook operations. It includes evaluation capabilities against SpreadsheetBench datasets, demo applications (web interface and Slack bot), and supports complex operations like conditional formatting and pivot tables. The agent maintains session state for multi-step workflows and provides detailed error handling, making it suitable for automating spreadsheet tasks, data analysis workflows, and integration into business applications where users need to modify Excel files through conversational interfaces.
