SpotDB

SpotDB provides direct access to an ephemeral DuckDB instance through a lightweight Go-based server that supports CSV file uploads, SQL query execution, and database snapshots. Built by aliengiraffe, it exposes tools for reading and writing queries, creating and managing datasources, and generating business insights through an MCP interface, while also offering HTTP endpoints for file uploads with comprehensive validation including security checks for CSV injection attacks. The implementation includes WebSocket support for real-time interactions, S3 integration for snapshot management, and robust file validation with encoding detection, making it valuable for data analysis workflows, temporary data sandboxing, and working with structured data without requiring persistent database infrastructure.
