Screenpipe's MCP server lets AI assistants search locally captured screen text and audio transcripts for meeting recall, work summaries, and context from activity across apps. It connects to Screenpipe's local API. Raw history stays local by default; configured cloud AI, transcription, sync and integrations can send context off-device. Screenpipe is source-available under the Screenpipe Commercial License.
The current package is screenpipe-mcp, written in TypeScript and distributed through npm. The recommended setup is the desktop app's Settings > Connections; manual configuration is documented in the package README.
