Pathfinder

Pathfinder bridges MCP clients to Language Server Protocol (LSP) servers, enabling AI assistants to access jump-to-definition and other LSP features across multiple programming languages. Built in Rust, it spawns and manages individual LSP server processes (like rust-analyzer, pyright, or typescript-language-server), handles the JSON-RPC communication protocol, and exposes LSP functionality through MCP tools with automatic retry logic for indexing delays. Each pathfinder instance manages one LSP server and supports multiple file extensions, making it useful for code navigation, symbol lookup, and understanding code relationships in development workflows.
