This MCP server provides academic author network analysis by aggregating data from multiple scholarly sources including Semantic Scholar, OpenAlex, Crossref, and Google Scholar to find co-authors and research keywords for academic researchers. Built by Alperen Kocyigit, it offers two core tools: co-author discovery that identifies research collaborators with collaboration frequency counts, and keyword extraction that scrapes Google Scholar profiles to retrieve research interests and areas of expertise. The implementation features intelligent rate limiting across APIs, caching to reduce redundant requests, parallel data fetching for performance, and respectful web scraping with delays, making it valuable for academic research analysis, collaboration mapping, and understanding research networks in scholarly communities.
